Quiet now

I've become silent, now. My opinion over life is now been quieted, to make way for the state of learning I'm now in. Besides me not blogging about my life every week, this is a radical change. It's almost like I'm in school again, but I'm getting paid for it, and it's not as structured. And if this is school, I'll take this lifestyle over public education in a heartbeat.

Besides political vendettas and my complete opposition to the government and how it's turning socialist, I have no other blazing, passionate opinion that's been set on fire. I'm learing so many things from so many directions, and right now I'm not able to keep up with any of them. All are good, and I'm not killing myself or my schedule. I am overwhelmed, in the sense that these things are so new for me, either because I haven't experiened them yet, or I'm having to vastly relearn what I thought I knew, therefore causing me to mold to a heightened sense of humbleness.

I like this me. But I know that this me cannot stay forever. There are times when we need to be humble, times when we need to be loud, times when we need to be sad, times when we need to be confused and lost. We go through phases and breaking and forming of foundations, but we also need to realize that we cannot be everything at the same time. That's Christ, not us, and that's what we need to depend on, as our lives and selves spin in a chaotic dizzy.

I really feel like I've said too much now. Tell me something you've been learning, or anything. I'm very much the listener right now.

So Carrie Prejean got completely denied of being Miss USA, for the reason of stating her Christian beliefs. Oh yes, and if you haven't read, the link's below:

she stated her beliefs when asked. perez slammed his beliefs on her. perez declared that she was making racist remarks because she couldn't be talkin all this Jesus Jesus Jesus stuff, it would offend Jewish Americans, to the Muslim Americans, to the atheist Americans...so what does that mean she can't state any faith? Does that make sense for a role model? He wanted her to be politically savvy, that was a funny line. That made me chuckle.

so what happens
when we can't tell
if the minorities are overrunning the majorities
of if the majorities are overrunning the minorities?

This isn't even a question about conservative vs liberal. This is about decency, and allowing the full picture of life to be seen in society, instead of one small part of the picture.

Janet Napolitano

I reserve and use the right to speak my mind. I reserve and use the right to have free will. But Janet Napolitano don't think so. And that's why you need to see this: thomasmore.org/qry/page.taf?id=19

I'll say this now, I have been a guy who just voices his opinion online and in casual conversation. But if this whole movement that Homeland Security's doin goes down, I ain't gonna be inactive anymore.

Suck on that, American Politics of 2009

Fearless about fears

I never want to get old. Heh, not talkin about age. I will probably find a way to enjoy wrinkles, make my arm another person or something. No, I'm concerned about me losing what I see now. I'm scared of bein like most old people, that just get quiet, and don't see as much excitement in life. How could it not be? Geez there's so much life in everything! The people who don't see it deserve a cane for how old they are. Heck, I'm gonna turn a cane and messed up bones into joy when I'm old.

I have no problem having things go blurry, for my muscles to dwindle, for not being able to have as much chocolate as I do now, and for not being able to stand loud metal in my car. But I will not be able to deal with losing my hearing. I am also scared of that badly. To hear music deadened, even compromised, is a fearful thought for me. You realize that more than the visual, we rely on the audible. We gauge what we hear for our emotions, how gently or heavy we treat something, how we contemplate. To live most of your life without sound and then lose part of it, would be horrible.

But then I realize, this fear I have, is inconsequential. It's completeley meaningless! When I think like this, I'm forgetting that I never had a right to worry about it. Cause guess what...God's got it. If I lose hearing, God's got something else for me, if I still have it then I get that joy, and God's gonna continue to work with me like He has. There is nothing, nothing, that I need to worry about. I have peace about my fears, and my nightmares, because I have the power of Christ in my life.

I love Easter.

More than the world

You, individually, are worth more than the world. Here's why:

#1: God created the world in 5 days, and He didn't even break a sweat. He created man on the sixth day, and the next day He rested. #2: Christ sacrificed Himself for nothing but you, not the world. #3: When the end comes, God will create a new Heaven and Earth, but we will be the same (different bodies, but same souls)

This is for all you doubting your worth in anything: God can create mountains, a universe, waterfalls, anything in this world without breaking a sweat...but we are indespensabe. He would sacrifice the world and his Son before us.

Now stuff that in your pipe and smoke it.

Watch God as I unravel

The center of God's will is a chaotic rythym. There is everything falling all around you, and you have no idea what the next momemts bring, but you follow the direction you hear God directing you in. The center of God's will is a chaotic rythym, but the source is completely and utterly, peaceful and loving. It nurtures like a father, inspires and soothes your soul, and is your strength and life when your body and heart have gone past their limit.

It looks pointless and suicidal to the world, the world that is caught up in so much chaos with barely any direction. They can't understand, because everything that Jesus is, is completely contradictory of the world. To perfectly sacrifice yourself for all the sins past/present/future bears no logic or sense in worldly terms. They see our relationship with God as the lifelong degredation of ourselves.

But yet the effect cannot be explained. The effect of our relationship with Christ, the effect that it has on us, the effect that is given to the world, the change and unrest it stirs up and creates, gives an emotion of uncertainty and confusion. The effect of Christ in the world is one that uncovers and kicks down walls, and reveals the core and truth of life. The core and truth that in everything, there is hope, there is love, and there is truth, and all three of these things point to God.

The world thinks we're crazy, and we cannot deny them that. Because in their eyes we are. When we have been struck by the love and life of Christ, we recieve new eyes. We recieve a new heart. We recieve a new body within our old one, for it is Jesus Christ, the risen Savior, that lives inside us. We stand as two different people, both from the world but not all of us in the world.

Jesus bridges the gap, and we are the ones that can reach out. So let us not be afraid.

Give & Take

I realize that the reason people get into talk about politics and government is not just because government decides things about our paycheck and lifestyle, but it's also a depiction of how we deal with others. And this piece of quoted paragraph articulates that thinking better than I could write down right now.

“You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."
Dr. Adrian Rogers, 1931
