The Quote That Will Define My Life

"In my opinion, there's no way God looks at things from 14 different angles. I see God as knowing only one truth, and that's it. There's no other opinion about it. And I want to know what that one truth is. Everyone can sit around and have their manly and earthly opinions about things, but I doubt there's much debate going on in Heaven. I'm trying to find whatever that singular truth is in any particular topic"

Chapter Five

So if I were ever to write a book, it would come in chapters, like most books do. The first chapter would be my early life, which was for the most part insignificant and I don't remember much of. The second chapter would consist of mono and how I lived out high school. The third chapter would be about graduating high school and my first summer at SugarPine and how that completely changed me. The fourth chapter would be about me starting my relationship with Kit and actually getting serious about school, and everything until this point in my life.

At each chapter of my life, the changes seem to affect me even more fundamentally than the last one. But change is a good thing, it's what keeps us alive. But just to show you how much life has changed for me in the last two weeks, here's a summarized list of changes...

- My serious relationship with Kit has been over a year
- I've failed out my entire semester, and for that reason I've completely devoted 75% of my attention for the next five months to straightening school out and actually do good, or give up trying.
- Because of the above statement, it's motivated me to leave skyQ and get a better-paying job with less responsibility, or no job at all.
- It has also made me choose to leave the youth group for a time. I've poured my heart into the worship team and the kids there, but sometimes good things cripple you. It was hard to finally accept it, but it had to be done.

With all of these changes happening within the capacity of 14 days, I have made some pretty significant choices. And I will be honest: some of the choices I've made so far have been wise and responsible, some have been stupid and selfish. There are different reasons for each, but I don't regret any of them. Because no matter what, God has been walking with me, and I have been walking with Him as well. For a while I was struggling, but through prayer I've come through it.

Most of you probably will never understand all of the choices I've made recently, or in the near future. But I know for sure that Chapter Five of my life is gonna change everything about me and how I see and react to life. It's gonna test my foundation. It's gonna test my friends and relationships. It's gonna test my past and my future. It's gonna test my faith and trust in myself, God, and other people. And I want you guys to pray for me. Life is about to kick into a very confusing gear in a very short time for me, and I'm not sure what's gonna happen after that for me. But I know God will be with me 200%, and I know that prayer has been proven to work in my life. So thanks for reading this, God bless and take care.

The Weirdest Road Trip (So Far)

This last road trip is (so far) the most weirdest road trip that I've had in a long while. Here's the basics of this road trip timeline:

-Went to Fox's house and played Wii, also messed with Kalesha and Renee and picked up Kyle and Cole (they hid all the shoes too)

-Was gonna sleep for 3 hours but decided against it

-Found that my camera bag was left at Fox's house, so went to go get it and got lost trying to find it, even though I had driven there no less than 3 hours before. Also got directions to go to Dillon's beach, which was where me Kyle and Cole were gonna go fish.

-Left for Dillon's beach at 2 in the morning, took some side trips and got there at 6 (note to self - driving at night is fun). Discovered that the beach didn't open till 7, so we drove around and took some more side trips.

-7 came, realized we were at the wrong beach, so finally found the right one. We knew it was the right one cause Kyle and Cole kept having flashbacks, they had been there before. They fished for crabs and eel monkeys, and I sat and watched and listened to the roar of the mighty Pacific ocean

-Got bored/tired, slept in the car for 75+ minutes, woke up to find Kyle and Cole with two fish and a crab. We stuck em in the same space together and hoped they'd fight to the death, but the fish were pretty much dead already so there wasn't any real point. So we start going home

-15 minutes down the road I see a potential shortcut back to SacTown, so I take it. And of course, like all true road trips with Kyle, Kyle takes a nap and wakes up to find himself in San Francisco. Many things happened there, such as Cole yelling in Chinese to random people, me being completely lost downtown, and Kyle having to pee like he had just downed a 15-foot pool. Needless to say we escaped.

-Got to SacTown finally, forgot to take a turn and found myself on Folsom Road for a half hour trying to find a landmark. Finally got back on 80 and too Kyle home

-Kyle's dad looked at the crab and said we couldn't eat it cause it had died of natural causes...whatever I hate fish food anyway.

And in two hours I'm getting ready to go out with friends till about 3 in the morning. I'm pretty sure tomorrow all I'm gonna do is sleep.

Daddy Can’t We Go Back To Eden?

There is an easier life than what I got right now. I just don't know how to get it.

I'm on the verge of starting school, and getting my day job back. It's essential for me to survive. But at the same time it's holding me back completely. Why can't I jump in my car, grab what I need, and find the freedom I'm looking for?

I sure hope that I'm not deceiving myself. I honestly believe God wants me in Roseville, but it seems that I'm being silently smothered here. My answer might be moving out. Parents aren't evil, but I think I need that kind of independance now. Or something like that. But first I need a job that pays more than minimum.

It's just weird to come from SugarPine back home. SugarPine you can feel God breathing down your neck (at least for me), here I've gotta actually think about it. It's a struggle to stay in the same mindset with Him here, and if not for Adam and Eve eating the apple this would not be a problem.

My Thoughts On Spider-Man 3...*gag*

Yesterday I spent 4 hours waiting for Spider-Man 3 to start playing. I didn't have any real expectations for this movie except for a couple things to be explained (ex: Harry Osborn, Peter and MJ, and such). I'm not that much of a fan of the movies either, since I'm a diehard comic fan. I knew I wasn't gonna get what I really wanted to see. But I still had faith in the movie.

The movie's a good movie, no doubt. There's plenty of action and suspenseful moments and things that should normally be in a blockbuster film. But here's what the movie should've really been called: Peter Parker/Spider-Man 3. Why? Cause it was all about PETER.

The action scenes were incredible, there was no way they couldn't. But they were few and far between. And suprisingly there was a lot more humor in this movie than the last two, which appeased me quite well. But all the emotions were faked, they didn't have any depth. They didn't come out of nowhere, but they were rushed, almost as if they had hot burning tamales in their pants.

And so I have come to my final conclusion for Spider-Man 3: the action scenes are the closest thing to the comics that Sam Rami has ever done, but besides that, it's nothing more than a glossed over, Hollywood movie. Much like the first Hulk movie. I am happy that the third movie has come, because it's answered questions and they put Venom in the script (YES!!!), but when it wasn't an action scene I wanted to cover my eyes.

And I really hope that Sam Rami and Tobey Maguire don't come back for the fourth Spider-Man.

EPILOUGE
If Sam Rami does another Spider-Man movie, I swear I'm gonna lead an uprising the day it comes out

....POST-EPILOUGE
If the above happens, I will also sue Hollywood for their undermining beautiful amazing comic book stories.

I Am Not A Christian

I don't believe in Christianity. Religion is man-made, and everything man-made is flawed and doomed for destruction. God is not someone I believe in, God is someone I live my life for in every way possible. The only reason I've handed my life over to Him is because He's my creator, He gave me hope, and I'm self destructive and He's the only one who knows how to keep me stable.

Christianity has become a curse word. An excuse to have an ego. A delusional effect. When somebody says they're Christian to a mixed audience, two general things happen: the person tries to act more holy, and the people he proclaimed his religion to are alienated by him and get the wrong interpretation of God. It becomes this gigantic mess of miscommunication and alienation, so much to the point that once that word comes out of your mouth it doesn't matter what you've said, you're done. Whatever you say is irrelevant because you've got a prejudice on every syllable you say.

Clarifying moment: I am not ashamed of God. I am not ashamed of His message and what He has done. I'm disgusted however of how badly we as people have put a curse on a word like Christianity. It absolutely infuritates me to my core. Anything that's Christian-endorsed or has the label of Christianity I have to second guess and be more cautious of, as opposed to the secular side of things.

It says in the Bible that this was gonna happen. That don't make it any easier to deal and sort out with.

My Legendary Road Trip

On Monday, April 2007, 6:45 in the morning, Kyle and me officially began our road trip.

It took 5.5 hours to get down there. It was crazy. And we stayed at this one house with catcuses that Kyle used to live at. He had a lot of flashbacks there lol.

Then we got to see Tara again and me and Kyle finally got to meet Megan *IN PERSON!* It was crazy.

And then we ate buffalo burgers. And for some reason Tara decided to slap me with a piece of cheese. And as I was acknowledging that, Megan spit her water that she was drinking at me. That was super crazy.

And then me and Kyle slept in my car, because that's what you gotta do on road trips. It's a must. AND you gotta live off of Taco Bell and other fast food too for the most part. That's what makes a true road trip.

And then to seal the deal, I tried to drive home by reading my directions backwards. It didn't work out too well, because I started going towards San Francisco instead of Sacramento. So we got home an hour late. But it was worth it.

So concludes my 58-hour road trip with Kyle. The only things I regret from this trip is that I spent $120 on gas in the last two days, and I let Kyle have control of the CD player, and he kept putting three songs on constant repeat. Over and over again. And I hope I don't hear those songs for another couple months, or I will go nuts.
